THE FINE PRINT:
Payment is taken at time of registration. You may register online, in person or over the phone with a credit card at least one week prior to first session. All classes take place at Knitknack and materials must be purchased from Knitknack. Any yarn that requires winding must be brought in for winding at least 2 days before class.

There are no refunds on classes unless canceled by Knitknack. If you cannot attend your scheduled class once you have registered, please notify Knitknack at least 48 hours prior to the class and you will be given a store credit good only for another class. Store credit given for classes cannot be used for merchandise.

There are no make up sessions for missed sessions unless a class is postponed due to inclement weather or instructor illness. All classes have a 3 person minimum and 6 person maximum. Some classes have "homework" in order to advance your skills and complete your project. It is highly recommended that you complete each session's requirements in time for the next session to get the most out of each class.

Beginner's Knit I:
Learn to Cast on and Knit

The very basics to get you started, learn the knitted cast on and get going with your knitting! Several wonderful projects use only the knit stitch and we'll review some of them in class and help you plan the next steps.

Knitting

It's your class, your project. Get the help you need for the project you want to make or are in the middle of knitting. Pick out a new project and get started right in class, learning more as you go! New to knitting? Take our Basic Knitting class then come to this class to start your first project!

Beginner's Crochet:
Groovy Granny

Learn basic crochet skills while putting a new twist on a classic shape -- the granny square. Kari Capone will teach you the basics of chain stitch, single, double and triple crochet. Combine unlikely combinations of color and yarn to create unique textures that will make granny groove! Learn how to join your squares in a window-pane style using one unifying yarn with a little extra pop. A fresh and funky approach, apply this style to skirts, handbags, vest, scarves and of course, the ultimate favorite blanket.

Bring an E and I hook and oddballs from your stash as this is a great stash buster! Additional yarn recommendations will be shared during class.

Twinkle's Biker Vest

This versatile updated biker vest impressed us in Twinkle's Big City Knits but the pattern was a mess, not mention sized way too small for any of us! Join Kari Capone as she takes you through the pattern in a logical approach using her exclusive handy reference chart available only through the class. A terrific first lace project or first garment introducing basic lace motifs and helping you make a hip fashion-forward vest that will fit your shape and style. Make it special with a bulky silk merino like our shop model or make it super summery with a bulky cotton. Pattern knits up quickly, uses less than 300 yards of yarn (we used 3 skeins of Alchemy Lux) and big needles. Guaranteed to be a finished object that you'll wear often and that goes with everything!
